 In the tradition of the best Half Marathons the world has to offer, the inaugural Providence Half Marathon will bring together thousands of runners over a scenic 13.1 mile course through downtown Providence. A race for everyone from the local club runner and first-timer to the best in the world.
The Half Marathon is organized and directed by the same team that put on the Ocean State Marathon, which peaked as the second largest marathon in New England (after the Boston Marathon) and achieved some of the top performances in the USA. The inaugural event will be exciting - become a part of it, become a part of the historic start of a world-class annual event!
This year we have teamed up with the St. Jude Heroes program to provide a venue for runners willing to raise funds for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by training for and finishing the half marathon.
